TRLMI’s Able Seaman Course provides training required for candidates desiring to obtain a U.S. Coast Guard endorsement as Able Seaman. Any person completing the Able Seaman course and presents The Certificate of Training WITHIN ONE YEAR will satisfy the professional written examination requirements and demonstration of ability of 46 CFR 12.405 for the “Deck & Navigation General / Deck Safety” and “Deck General & Safety / Rules of the Road” exam modules for any national rating endorsement as Able Seaman; AND the practical (knot tying) examination requirements for any Able Seaman endorsement. This course also includes the USCG Approved practical demonstration of competency in Knot Tying and Splicing.

TO RECEIVE THE ENDORSEMENT ON YOUR MMC FOR COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE, THE CERTIFICATE(S) MUST BE PRESENTED TO THE USCG WITHIN ONE YEAR OF THE COURSE COMPLETION DATE.
