Lino Peña, Engineman Chief Petty Officer, USN (Ret) served on three different ships in his career. While on board the USS Anzio (CG-68), Lino was the lead A/C&R technician and Small Boat Engineer. On the USS Narwal (TWR-842), he served as the lead engine room operator. Finally, on the USS Green Bay (LPD-20), Lino was in main propulsion division for his whole tour where he was responsible for the maintaining of five Caterpillar (3608) diesel generators, as well as four fairbanks morse colt pieltick (STC) engines. While doing a tour in the South West Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), which was attached to the boiler repair shop (935H), Lino spent time over hauling, cleaning and re-tubing various heat exchangers. Lino finished his naval career serving at the Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS) as the Department head for the Coronado Amphibious Base school house. At the amphibious base he taught multiple courses such as small boat diesel engines, and Evinrude Outboard Motor engines where he received his Master Training Specialist (MTS) Certificate. 

Upon retiring from the navy after 20 years of service he worked as a Technical Instructor for Quality Solutions LLC and Prevailance Inc. 

At TRLMI, Lino is part of the engineering department and he teaches QMED Firemen/Oiler/Watertender(FOWT) TRAINRL-384, Able Seafarer-Engine(TRAINL-842), and Rating Forming Part of an Engineering Watch (TRAINRL) 417.

In his spare time he enjoys all sorts of photography from film to digital, as well as building scale models.
