Johnathan Ricketts works for Training Resources Maritime Institute as the Operations Assistant providing support the Operations and Curriculum Department (ops). He completed 23 honorable years in the Navy serving diverse roles to include rescue swimmer, apprentice navigator, intelligence analyst, communications division officer for underwater operations, training instructor, navigator, chief investigator. He retired serving as a craft master/officer in charge (OIC) of five separate landing craft utility (LCU) vessels, each with a 14-men crew. With the help from each of his crews, they turned around all five LCU vessels from below average operational status to not just above operational status but ceremonial status. Johnathan completed duel degrees of Associates of Arts in General Education and Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. He continued his academics with a Master’s in Business Administration and a Masters’ in Education specializing in Adult Education. He is also currently studying to complete a PhD in General Psychology with emphasis in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Johnathan is originally from Seattle, but these days San Diego is where he hangs his hat.
